SAM BROADCASTER BROADCASTING SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

This article will show you how to start broadcasting with SAM Broadcaster.

  • First of all, you need the most recent version of SAM Broadcaster. There are versions with different databases. The easiest to install and configure is the Firebird version, so that is what we will use. You can download it here.
  • At the first start it is possible to assign a directory scan to search for audio files. We strongly advise you to do this, otherwise you will have to add everything manually later.
  • After the scan is complete, start setting up the broadcast. To do this, go to Desktop B, find the Encoders window, click on + and select mp3(Normal).

Choose the bitrate corresponding to your tariff plan. You can find it in your personal cabinet.

Go to the Server details tab. Then enter the data taken from your personal account.

In the field Server Type — select Icecast. Below Icecast2, if not automatically selected.
In the field Server IP — Enter the address of the broadcast server (in our example, stream0.radiostyle.ru)
In the field Server Port — enter the broadcast server port (in our example it is 8000)
In the field Encoder Password — enter the password on the broadcast server (To view the password, click on the link “View password” in your personal cabinet. In our example it is 123)
In the field Mount — Enter the mount point on the broadcast server (in our example, it is /free)

Enter the broadcast settings taken from your personal account

  • In the Station Details table you can enter data about your radio station: Station name, note, genre, site.
  • Click OK. In the Encoders window select the encoder we created and click Start currenrly selected encoder. If you have done everything correctly, the plugin will connect to our broadcast server and your radio station will automatically switch to the stream coming from your computer. We have so far it’s silent.

To start the music, go to Desktop A and press Play.

  • If you connect a microphone and press Press to talk in the Voice FX window on the Desktop A, you can broadcast with your voice.
  • If you close the SAM Broadcaster program, or don’t put any sounds on the air for a long time, the music will automatically play from your AutoDJ.
